Symptom


  • Upgrading PAN-OS from 9.1 to 10.0.2
  • After update complete I see the DLP Plugin is installed automatically

Environment


  • Palo Alto Firewalls or Panorama
  • PAN-OS 10.0.2 or later

Cause

Resolution


Plugin is automatically Installed and no action is needed.

Additional Information


If case of downgrade of the firewall to PAN-OS 9.x, the installed DLP plugin is needs to be uninstalled. This is done by using CLI command request plugins uninstall dlp  as documented under PAN-OS 10.0 Upgrade Downgrade Considerations.
