Applications are not showing up in security policy and application-group in Panorama

Symptom


  • Application are not loading in security policy.
  • Application lists shows up in php debug output but not visible in security policy.
  • In GUI ,enable the ACE :(Panorama-->Setup-->ACE-->Uncheck the Disable App-ID Cloud Engine)

  • Checked in the security policy and observed that the Application keep on loading no output

  • Checked in the application groups and observed that the Application keep on loading no output

  • But in the Application TAB observed that the Applications are showing up

Environment


  • Affected PAN-OS:- 10.1.6, 10.2.2

Cause


  • Content had some container Apps that did not have functions, for example "ace-test-container-long". UI was always expecting functions node for containers.

Resolution


  • Fix version:- 11.0.0, 10.2.4, 10.1.9

Additional Information


  •  PHP debug output shows completion of all the applications but they are never displayed
