Symptom


  • Loading Instagram page via Prisma Access fails with HTTP 429 error code when users have not yet logged into  Instagram.
  • Once they login, the page can be loaded properly.

Cause


"Instagram" seems to be enforcing certain login checks causing this behavior.

Resolution


There are two options to avoid the error.

  1. Sign in to Instagram first before accessing the Instagram pages.

  2. Use split tunnel function for Instagram traffic.
