Question


Does ION device provide location information using SNMP monitoring?
 

Environment


  • Prisma SD-WAN
  • ION Devices
  • Prisma SASE

Answer


  1. Each site is configured with the 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' values based on their geographical location and the configuration pushed to the ION devices.
  2. Currently, SNMP OID is not present on the element to pull location information, So the location will display as unknown in the monitoring tools  
SNMPv2-MIB::sysName.0 = STRING: TEST-ION-01
SNMPv2-MIB::sysLocation.0 = STRING: Unknown
