After upgrading to GlobalProtect app version 6.0.x, the client no longer displays which internal gateway it is authenticated to

Symptom


  • In GlobalProtect app versions prior to 6.0.x, the authenticated internal gateway information was displayed under the Connection tab

  • Starting with GlobalProtect app version 6.0.x and later, the Connections tab no longer shows the authentication status of the connected internal gateway

Environment


  • Globalprotect (GP) App
  • Globalprotect Portal and Gateway
  • Globalprotect app version 6.0.x and above


Cause


  • GlobalProtect App User Interface for Windows and macOS has been changed from 6.0.x.
  • Gateway information is moved under Host Information Profile.


Resolution


To view which internal gateway end user is authenticated against, use the steps below.
  1. Navigate to Host Information Profile

       2. Click on More Details​​​​​​ link under Host Information Profile Report. The gateway name displayed is the authenticated gateway.
