How to configure destination service routes to use a dataplane interface to send telemetry data

Objective


To configure a destination service route to connect to send data for device telemetry from a data plane interface in Panos 9.x and 10.x

Environment


  • Any Palo Alto Networks firewall device
  • PanOS 9.x and 10.x
  • Device Telemetry
  • Service route


Procedure


  1. Check the logs from "Device_telemetry_curl.log" using the command "grep mp-log device_telemetry_curl.log pattern cdl.paloaltonetworks.com"
  2. The output should show us the URL that is used to send telemetry data.

  1. A destination service route should be configured pointing to the URL mentioned above and another to storage.googleapis.com
