How to Install Device Certificate on Panorama

• To Install Device Certificate on Panorama.
• This is one of the Steps(Step 5), when configuring Configure Panorama for Strata Logging Service.
• Although the procedure is documented at Install the Panorama Device Certificate, This article helps by providing the necessary screenshots.

• Panorama 10.1 or later.
• Cortex data lake.

1. Note down the Panorama Serial Number under GUI: Panorama > Management > General Settings > Serial number.

2. Log in to the Customer Support Portal with a user role that has permission to generate an OTP.
3. Select Assets > Device Certificates and Generate OTP.

4. For the Device Type, select "Generate OTP for Panorama" and click Next.

5. Select the Panorama Device serial number.

6. Select Generate OTP

7. Copy the password or download it. This password needs to be entered in the next steps.

  

8. ​​Go back to your Panorama and configure NTP if not configured. Refer Steps here.
9. Once configured, Select Management > Device Certificate > Click on Get certificate.

10. Paste the copied/downloaded OTP to the One time Password field and click "OK"

11. The following popup message is displayed. on the screen.

12. Go back to Management > Device Certificate  and the valid Device certificate is displayed.

13. Once the Device Certificate is installed, restart the reportd process using the following command.  

> debug software restart process reportd.
