Symptom

While performing Installation/Upgrade of VMWare Tanzu TAS Environment Defender, one receives error:

Downloading and extracting Defender image.
Failed to download Defender image from Console - curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404

These logs can be found in defender.ctl.log under diego_cell/xxxxxxxx-bb6e-xxxx-xxxx-58c9e7xxxx:/var/vcap/sys/log/defender

Cause

Prisma Cloud Console and VMWare Tile Defender Version should be exactly same.

For example, if you are running a Console version of 32.00.161 then the Tile should be upgraded to the same version. If you try to install the different version such as 32.00.159, then one might experience this error.

Resolution

Option 1: One can download the "Tanzu Application Service Defender" Tile from the Console and use to for Upgrade/Installation.
Option 2: Download the same version file as console from Pivotal

If one does not find the same version tile as that of the Console in Pivotal, then use Option 1 or Contact Prisma Cloud Compute TAC team and team they will help update the Pivotal portal for the latest version tile.
