Symptom


  • Log disk drives not initialized properly after RMA.
  • Error message "Server error: op command for client dagger timed out as client is not available" is displayed.


Environment


  • Palo Alto PA-5200 Firewalls
  • Supported PAN-OS


Resolution


If the error message shown above appears after replacing the disk:

  1. Perform a hard reboot: The soft reboot may not be sufficient and a hard reboot is necessary for proper drive initialization.
  2. If the issue persists after the hard reboot, open a support case.
