Symptom
- Log disk drives not initialized properly after RMA.
- Error message "Server error: op command for client dagger timed out as client is not available" is displayed.
Environment
- Palo Alto PA-5200 Firewalls
- Supported PAN-OS
Resolution
If the error message shown above appears after replacing the disk:
- Perform a hard reboot: The soft reboot may not be sufficient and a hard reboot is necessary for proper drive initialization.
- If the issue persists after the hard reboot, open a support case.
