How to get cloud app ID from Strata Cloud Manager?

Objective


To get cloud app ID from Strata Cloud Manager.

Environment


  • Strata Cloud Manager
  • SaaS Security
  • Data Security

Procedure


  1. Login to the Strata Cloud Manager.
  2. Go to Data Security.
  3. Enable Dev Tools browser.
  4. Select the Applications tab (https://cloud.apps.paloaltonetworks.com/manage/saas-security/applications).
  5. Search for "cloudapps" request with brackets icon(brackets icon or the GET request) and on right side, select the "Response" tab.Get the list of cloudapps
  6. Copy paste the full text from "Response" tab into your favorite text editor.
  7. Search for the desired cloud app name. The name will be the same as applications on https://cloud.apps.paloaltonetworks.com/manage/saas-security/applications.List of cloud apps 
  8. As example, "Google Drive UX".
Cloud app details
  1.  The cloud app ID or CS_UID will be the field "uid". Provide this info in the support case.
