Symptom

  • Before this article there was no document to describe how to safely remove collector group and vdisk

Environment

  • Panorama VM

Cause

  • Unused CG and vdisks need to be removed

Resolution

  • In Panorama GUI, go to Panorama---> Managed Devices--->Collector Group, check the collector group and Delete.
  • Then in Managed Collectors section right above, click Collector, Delete. You may need to clean up some other configuration associated with these CG and collector if delete operation is not allowed.
  • Then you can commit the change to panorama.
  • After commit done, you can remove the associated vdisks from vSphere or the hypervisor management tool.
