GP user wants to cancel out of SAML Authentication process

Symptom
- Global Protect 6.X: The user cannot disconnect GP when SAML authentication process has been started after login to the GP portal and it keeps on spinning showing the connecting state.
- The customer is running GP version 6.X and the customer could have multiple portals configured.
- The customer informs that when the user selects a portal that is actually correct but not meant for that user, he gets redirected to the SAML auth page.
- However, the user is not configured with that portal and he closes the web page, but the application is still seen in the connecting state and remains in it.
- If the customer clicks "Refresh connection" on the GP app, it again prompts the user with the SAML auth page.
- The customer does not have a way to disconnect and then select a new portal.
- The only workaround he does is by opening the task manager and stopping the GP service.
Environment
- GlobalProtect (GP) Portal
- GlobalProtect Gateway
- GlobalProtect App version GP 6.X
Resolution
- The issue has been fixed in GlobalProtect App versions 6.1.2, 6.2.1.
- A new cancel button is introduced in the hamburger menu of the GlobalProtect app.
- The user can click on the cancel button and the app will ask the user to login to the portal again.
