Symptom

Commit and Push to Remote Networks failed and Push Status shows TIMEOUT as a result when Prisma Access Internal Gateway is enabled.

Push Status on Strata Cloud Manager

Environment

Cause

  • The value of Inactivity Logout timer is set to lower than 120.
  • Note: For non-tunnel (Internal) mode, the minimum value is 120.

Resolution

  1. Set Inactivity Logout to higher than 120.
  2. The setting can be changed at Strata Cloud Manager > Workflows > Prisma Access Setup > GlobalProtect > GlobalProtect App > Global App Settings > General > Timeout > Inactivity Logout

Additional Information

  • For Panorama Managed Prisma Access, the GlobalProtect Gateway settings for Mobile Users and Remote Networks are separated per template ("Mobile_User_Template" and "Remote_Network_Template"),
  • Here individual values can be set for each Inactivity Logout setting.
  • Unless the Inactivity Logout setting of "GlobalProtect_Internal_Gateway" in "Remote_Network_Template" is intentionally changed to lower than 120, this issue will not occur with Panorama Managed Prisma Access.
