Symptom
- Dataplane restarts with Internal path monitor failures .
- Messages simiar to below are seen in the logs

- Wed Jan 15 12:59:13 2025: Out of memory: Kill process 1430 (pan_task) score 404 or sacrifice child
- Wed Jan 15 12:59:13 2025: Killed process 1430 (pan_task) total-vm:497740kB, anon-rss:67444kB, file-rss:80268kB
- Wed Jan 15 13:00:17 2025: md_apps invoked oom-killer: gfp_mask=0x201da, order=0, oom_score_adj=0
Environment
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- PAN-OS 10.2.7-h18
Cause
Software Issue.
Resolution
- The issue is fixed under PAN-246772.
- Upgrading to the fixed versions will resolve the issue.
- The following versions have the fix.
- 11.0.5, 11.2.0, 11.1.3, 11.2.3, 10.2.9, 10.2.11, 10.2.8-h5, 11.1.2-h9, 10.2.7-h19
