Question


Why can't I associate certain VM firewalls with the User Context in CIE?

  • PA-VM with VMflex license
  • Cloud Identity Engine (CIE) User Context
  • Hub

Answer


  1. This is working as designed, currently, PA-VM with a VMflex license does not currently support integration with the User Context feature of the Cloud Identity Engine (CIE).
  2. As an alternative, Consider deploying fixed license PA-VMs if the use of CIE is required otherwise, use different authentication, and redistribution methods if the PA-VM flex deployment can't be changed.
