Can a feature configured as shared in the Template be visible in the Device Group?

Question
If features under the Template are configured as shared, are they visible in the Device Group?
Environment
1- Panorama
2- PANOS versions: 10.1.x and above
Answer
The answer is no because Templates and Device Groups are separate hierarchies in two different instances. A feature configured as shared in a template is only visible within its template hierarchy, not with the Device Group, and vice versa. To make the shared feature visible in the intended Device Group, the reference template within the Device Group must be configured to include the template that contains the shared feature.
