Question
What is the number of concurrent flows supported on ION devices?
Environment
- Prisma SASE
- Prisma SD-WAN
- Supported versions
- Instant on Network (ION)
Answer
The Concurrent flow limit for Prisma SD-WAN ION devices is as follows.
- ION 1000 - 10K
- ION 1200 - 20K
- ION 1200-S - 40K
- ION 2000 - 40K
- ION 3000 - 100K
- ION 3200 - 80K
- ION 5200 - 100K
- ION 7000 - 500K
- ION 9000 - 500K
- ION 9000 when used as a hub, the limit is 1000K, but when used as spoke it is limited to 500K.
- Once the flow limit has exceeded, the subsequent flows will be out-of-sync until the limit returns below the normal threshold value.
Additional Information
- When the system exceeds the number of concurrent flows, an alarm is generated on the Portal.
- When this happens "Scan" app can be configured to filter out any "scanning" traffic.
- When the app is configured as a Scan app, the system will remove these flows to allow new flows.
- To check the flow summary, use the CLI command below.
