Objective


This KB article is to provide the procedure to aggregate a supernet to multiple peers and to advertise different subset of specific routes to each peer.

Example:
  • Aggregate: 10.101.0.0/16 to AS-2000 and AS-3000.
  • Advertise: 10.101.40.0/24 to AS-2000.
  • Advertise: 10.101.41.1/24 to AS-3000.

Environment


  • PAN OS versions: 8.1.x, 9.0.x, 9.1.x, 10.0.x.


Procedure


  1. Create a Redistribution Profile (this example is using connect as source type).

  1. Create BGP Peer.

  1. Create Export Rule to block and allow.

  1. Enable Aggregate Rule with Summary checkbox is unchecked.

  1. Apply Redistribution Profile to Redistribution Rule.
