Configuration logs configuration path field is empty for Panorama-pushed configuration

Symptom


As shown in the screenshot below, the configuration log from PA-FW (firewall) does not contain the configuration path information.

Environment


PAN-OS

Cause


The PAN-OS device will log the configuration change made on its local configuration (running-config.xml).

The firewall does not have the visibility of the change made by Panorama as it is not directly done on the system local configuration.

Resolution


This is normal behavior.
