Why MineMeld app is not shown in AutoFocus

Question


I have just obtained an AutoFocus license, and I cannot see any MineMeld Application in AutoFocus UI.

Environment


  • AutoFocus hosted version
  • Valid AutoFocus license obtained after August 1, 2020.
  • MineMeld Application


Answer


  1. PaloAlto Networks team plans to retire the hosted MineMeld™ application in AutoFocus™ service on August 1, 2021. PA provides a list of recommended migration options to ensure a smooth transition, including our new Cortex™ XSOAR offering.
  2. We kept this MineMeld going for a few more months so our customers can move to different applications. Here is a link for the MineMeld End-of-Life Announcement on the live link:   https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/blogs/minemeld-end-of-life-announcement/ba-p/419392. There was an email communication sent around that time with a transition path.
  3. As a part of this process, any customer who obtains an AutoFocus license after August 1, 2020, should not see any MineMeld-related in the AutoFocus UI and should not have access to any MineMeld-related backend endpoints or APIs. 
  4. Minemeld application has stopped for all customers since Dec first week, 2022.
  5. For the EDLs purpose, you can use the AutoFocus FEED tab, as shown in the screen capture below.
