Why the show routing route and the show runtime stats are not showing my configured static routes?

Environment


  • FW PA-3220
  • Pan-os 9.0.10
  • Interfaces are down on the FW as FW is not in production yet

Answer


  1. This is expected behavior static routes out of an interface will be removed from the routing table if that interface is down or disconnected from the network.
  2. In that case the show routing route will not show the static route
NOTE:
Also by clicking on the show runtime stats in the web UI will not show you the static route
