How to resolve "Internal error during commit process" message?

Objective


The aim of this article is to show how to resolve Internal error during commit process.

Environment


  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Supported PAN-OS
  • Commit Process


Procedure


  1. Save the latest Panorama config GUI: Panorama > Setup > Operations > Save named Panorama configuration snapshot > abc.xml 
  2. Export the saved Panorama config file GUI: Panorama > Setup > Operations > Export named Panorama configuration snapshot > abc.xml
  3. Import the exported Panorama config file (i.e. abc.xml) to new Panorama using the 'Import named Panorama configuration snapshot' option
  4. Click on 'Load named Panorama configuration snapshot' and select the xml file. In this example abc.xml
  5. Select 'Commit to Panorama'

The display will show several tasks to complete, devices, objects and rules.

Note: abc.xml is used as an example. One can choose any name as convenient.
