Symptom

There is no password field for the GP portal option "Allow User to Uninstall GlobalProtect App" even when specifying "Allow with Password".

Environment

  • Any Palo Alto Firewall.
  • PAN-OS 9.0.x with Content Version 8207-5750 or above.

Cause

The reason the password fields do not appear is that the feature was fully added in PAN-OS 9.1.

Resolution

1. Upgrade Panorama and managed firewalls to PAN-OS 9.1 or above.
2. Upgrade GlobalProtect Client version to 5.1 or above.
3. Upgrade Content version to 8207-5750 or above.
