Question

Why is the reachable prefix count is zero for BGP peer type ‘core’?

Environment

CloudGenix

Answer

This is a normal condition. Note that the ION 7000 uses prefixes learned from the edge peer to determine the reachability of remote site prefixes across MPLS paths, and it does not rely on any prefixes learned from the core peer to determine reachability through MPLS.
