Question

Why is the advertised prefix count zero for BGP peer type ‘edge’?

Environment

CloudGenix

Answer

This is a normal condition. The ION 7000 does not advertise any prefixes to peer  with the edge router. It advertises prefixes to core peer only so it can attract traffic that is destined for a remote site.
