Symptom


When trying to switch context from Panorama to Firewall on PAN-OS 8.1.16 device. error message "Error : createRemoteAppwebSession: response code received 302" is seen.

Environment


  • Panorama with 8.1.16 or higher.
  • Palo Alto Firewall running PAN-OS 8.1.16.
  • Context switch attempted from Panorama.

Cause


This issue is due to a regression.

Resolution


The issue is resolved in PAN-OS 8.1.17. The Firewalls need to be upgraded to 8.1.17 or above. There are no workarounds.

Note: Panorama must always be on the same or higher version of PAN-OS than the managed Firewalls.
