How to add multiple portals to GlobalProtect client via Windows registry

Objective


To add Multiple portals to Globalprotect client via registry

Environment


Global protect client on Windows

Procedure


  1. Open the Windows Registry Editor, CTRL + R and type regedit
  2. Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palo Alto Networks\GlobalProtect\Settings
  3. Right-click on Settings
  4. Click New > Key
  5. Enter the GP portal name as the name of this new Key
  6. Restart the PanGPS, CTRL + R and type services. Right-click on PanGPS > Restart
You will then see that a new portal is added as an option for your user to connect to.

Additional Information


Important to take in consideration:
  • The registry edit should be done using the local user account, while the service restart needs an administrator privilege .
  • Doing the changes using the administrator account wont affect the local user GP settings.
