Objective


Customer would like to use Microsoft Authenticator for MFA. 

Environment


Access to Palo Alto Networks Apps/Sites

Procedure


How to use Microsoft Authenticator for MFA:

1. Go to SSO settings link: https://sso.paloaltonetworks.com/enduser/settings

2. To configure Microsoft Authenticator as your 2FA method, click Set up button for Google
Authenticator (The name is misleading but it does support Microsoft Authenticator)

3. Provide the password and MFA if prompted (Additional authentication is needed before
MFA settings are changed)

4. Click on Set up

6. SSO displays a QR code.

7. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on the device, click on “Add Account”. Select
“Other account”

8. Point your phone camera at the QR code. Microsoft Authenticator will scan the QR code,
and add your account. Click the Next button.

9. Enter the six-digit code from Microsoft Authenticator on the next screen

10. Once you click on "Verify" you have successfully enrolled Microsoft Authenticator for MFA
