Is it possible to increase the disk space on a Panorama VM?

Environment


  • Panorama VM series
  • Any PAN OS.

Answer


  1. Modifying (increasing) the system disk space of an existing disk is not supported.
  2. If there is a requirement for additional disk space,  a new disk needs to be added and the logs can be migrated from the existing disk to the new disk.
  3. Follow the instructions on this KB Upgrading Panorama VM System disk  to learn how to increase the system disk for Panorama VM hosted on ESXI server.

Note: if the existing disk is modified, this might cause Panorama VM to stop booting properly which might require to rebuilt the Panorama VM.
