WebUI and SSH is inaccessable on Panorama VM for 2 minutes after reboot.

Symptom


  • After rebooting the device only comes up for 2 minutes,
  • Its accessible for ping and web-UI and after 2 minutes it comes down.
  • Serial access is available but not responding to requests. 

Environment


  • Panorama VM
  • PAN-OS 10.1.x

Cause


This is caused by the Management and Ethernet 1/1 interface being configured with the same IP and MAC address.

Resolution


  1. The issue is fixed under PAN-191222.
  2. PAN-OS versions  11.0.1,10.2.3 and 10.1.6 have the fix.
  3. Upgrade to the above versions or later will resolve the issue.
  4. For workaround contact Palo Alto TAC.
