Created On 07/08/22 08:01 AM - Last Modified 08/24/22 02:52 AM
Symptom
- Firewall HA pair upgraded to 10.0 or higher version
- Message "Cluster-unknown" is displayed under the GUI: Panorama > Managed Devices > Summary > HA CLUSTER STATE
- Snapshot below displays Firewall display prior 10.0 displaying "blank" status and displaying "Cluster-Unknown" after upgrade to 10.0
Environment
- Panorama managed Palo Alto Firewalls
- HA (High Availability) configured on Firewalls
- PAN-OS 10.0 and above
Cause
- For firewalls configured in an HA Pair and not an HA cluster, this is expected behavior because no cluster is configured.
- The HA status for active/passive (or active/active HA pair) is a different column in the Managed Devices Summary (HA HA Pair Status).
Resolution
Either hide HA CLUSTER STATE column or ignore it. Instead use column: HA HA Pair Status
