Symptom


  • In Panorama HTTP profile, 'Test Server Connection' fails with 'failed binding local connection end'
  • In System Log, "HTTP server certificate validation failed. Host: x.x.x.x, CN: x.x.x.x, Reason: self signed certificate in certificate chain"

Environment

Cause


This is caused by a software issue.

Resolution


  1. The issue is fixed under PAN-189719 in PAN-OS 10.1.9 and 10.2.4.
  2. Upgrade to the above versions or later will fix the issue.
