- Why do Compliance results for Containers in the Radars Tab differ from the Compliance results for Containers in the Monitor Tab?
Environment
- Prisma Cloud (SAAS and Self-Hosted)
Answer
- The Compliance results for Containers in the Radars Tab actually reflect the results of the underlying Container Image from which the Container is deployed.
- The Compliance results for Containers can be viewed in the Compute Section of Prisma Cloud by going to Monitor > Compliance > Containers > Compliance.
- Going to Radars > Containers > specific Container > Compliance, we see the following Compliance results where all Compliance IDs are starting with digit '4'.
- These are actually the Compliance results of the underlying Image 'web-dvwa:latest' from which the Container is deployed.
- To confirm our findings, go to Monitor > Compliance > Images > Specific Image > Compliance.
- We see the same Compliance IDs (all starting with the digit '4') under Compliance Tab thus confirming our findings.
- To view the Compliance results of a Container, Go to Monitor > Compliance > Containers > specific Container > Compliance.
- Here, we find the Compliance Results of the Containers in concern.
- As seen below, all Compliance IDs in the Compliance tab for this container start with the digit '5'.
Additional Information
- For Images, the Compliance IDs start with the digit '4' (eg. 4xx)
- For Containers, the Compliance IDs start with the digit '5' (eg. 45x)
