Question


Which operating system details are reflected for Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 instances inside Prisma?

Environment


  • Prisma Cloud
  • AWS

Answer


As of May 2022, Prisma Cloud is only able to see Windows operating system.

AWS does not send the platform details in the ec2 describe-instance call. Prisma Cloud does not make an additional call to fetch the platform details.
