How to Upgrade VM-Series Model (and Stop Upgrade)

Resolution
To upgrade a VM-Series NGFW model:
- Login to Customer Support Portal for the account which owns the asset.
- You can upgrade VM-Series NGFWs two ways, (a) using Products > Devices or (b) Products > Assets .
1. Click Products > Devices.
2. Find the device, click on the Actions icon for the VM-Series device. Then, select Activate Upgrade License.
3. Select PAN OS Version, and enter your purchased Authorization Code. Click Agree and Submit.
4. Stop upgrade. If a VM-Series NGFW is undergoing an upgrade, CSP displays a message that this NGFW is being upgraded, and you can stop the upgrade. However, if the upgrade completes, you will not be able to rollback the upgrade.
Products > Assets
- Click Products > Assets
2. Find the device, click on the Licenses icon for the device.
4. Click Activate License button, select Upgrade License. Select OS release and enter Auth Code. Then, click Agree & Submit.

5. Stop upgrade. If a VM-Series NGFW is undergoing an upgrade, CSP displays a message that this NGFW is being upgraded, and you can stop the upgrade. However, if the upgrade completes, you will not be able to rollback the upgrade.
