Unable to context switch from/to firewalls and Panorama

Symptom


  • Context switching back to panorama will display a blank page.
  • Context Switch will start working after the page gets refreshed.
  • In the php debug log, an error "Unauthorized csrf token" will be thrown when context switching back.
    • Collect/view php debug logs by following the article: https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000PLhECAW
    • As an alternative, a tech support file can be generated, in which the debug log will be saved in /var/log/pan/php.debug.log

Environment


  • PAN-OS 10.2.4 and above
  • Panorama

Cause


  • Software Issue.

Resolution


  1. The issue is identified as a software defect and fixed under PAN-22089.
  2. Upgrade to the fixed versions 10.2.8, 11.0.4, 11.0.5, 11.1.0, 11.2.0.
  3. Workaround: Use another browser such as Safari.
