Question


1.  How many log in attempts are possible before getting locked out of Okta?
2.  What is the duration of the lock out?
3.  Can account be unlocked before the system lockout duration set time?

Answer


  1. If user tries to Login in with Invalid Credentials after 3 unsuccessful login attempts, their account will be locked out..
  2. After 30 minutes, the system will auto-unlock  the account.
  3. If the user wants to try another login in attempt before the set 30 minutes, they will need to contact Customer Support by visiting the Customer Support Portal home page who can help unlock the account.
