Question

  • Skip Software Version Upgrade can be used to upgrade the image directly without installing intermediate version.
  • In this case, is the download of base image of targeted version required for upgrade? Example: When upgrading from 10.2.x to 11.1.1, is 11.1.0 base image required?

Environment

Answer

  1. Yes, the base image of the targeted maintenance release still needs to be downloaded.
  2. The base image does not need to be installed, but it has to be downloaded and present on the device.
  3. Example: When installing 11.1.1 from 10.2.x directly, download 11.1.0 first. Then we can download and install 11.1.1.
