Panorama not displaying any logs

Symptom


  • No logs are seen on Panorama.
  • CLI command "show logging-status all" indicates, firewall connected and sending the logs to Panorama.


Environment


  • M Series Panorama managed Firewalls
  • PAN-OS  below 10.2.11, 11.0.4 and 11.1.2
  • Panorama configured as Log collector


Cause


Software issue.

Resolution


  1. Open the "logd" logs on the Log collector using "> less mp-log logd.log"
  2. Check for error message "conn to configd not available in:logd" as shown below
+0100 Error:  _send_resp(pkt.c:3167): conn to configd not available in:logd
  1. If yes, restart "logd" process on the Log Collector as a workaround to resolve the issue.
>debug software restart process logd
  1. The issue will be fixed in the upcoming releases.
  2. If the the above error message is not seen in logs, contact support for assistance.
