Symptom


  • Trying to add the "name-of-threatid" filter 
  • GUI: Objects > Log Forwarding > Add > Log Forwarding Profile > Add > Log Forwarding Match List.
    • Sample1: (name-of-threatid eq 'FTP Login Failed')
    • Sample2: (name-of-threatid eq 39040)
  • Operation Failed window with "filter is invalid" message is displayed.

Cause


Software Issue.

Resolution


  1. The issue is addressed under PAN-219768 in PAN-OS 10.2.8, 10.1.12 and 11.0.4.
  2. Upgrade to the fixed versions will resolve the issue.
