Question


  • Can you automate or auto-rotate Access Keys (Secret Key) once they are expired?

GUI: Prisma Cloud > Settings > Access Control > Access Keys

Environment


  • Prisma Cloud
  • Settings > Access Control > Access Keys
  • API Call (Postman or any other platforms)

Answer


  • Unfortunately, there is no process yet to automate or auto-rotate Access Keys (Secret Keys) in Prisma once they expire. 
  • Please reach out to your CS team to submit a Feature Enhancement request.

Additional Information


Once an Access Key expires, you need to manually delete them in Prisma for clean up.
  1. Currently, there are 2 ways you can create and delete the access key.
    1. Prisma UI Prisma Cloud > Settings > Access Control > Access Keys
      1. Under the "Actions Column" click the "Delete" or "Trash Bin Icon" for an Expired or Current Access Key
      2. Click the "Add" and select Access Key
    2. API Call
