Which Slot is to be selected when Panorama is used to configure an Ethernet interface

Objective


When use Panorama to configure interfaces on any template, Click Add Interface to create a new interface then pop up window will request to select slot number (1-12) from the drop-down menu.

Environment


  • Any Panorama
  • Any PAN-OS 

Procedure


  1. For all the Firewall models except PA-7000 series and PA-5450 firewalls, Select Slot1.
  2. For PA-7000 Series and PA-5450 firewalls, Select the appropriate slot number to be configured. These firewalls have multiple slots and the correct slot number must be selected to configure the same.
