Objective


The article explains how to resolve the software warranty status showing expired even when the license is applied and registered.
All Palo Alto Networks products are covered by a 90 days software and 12 months hardware warranty, but the firewall will update the Software warranty after applying the licenses. In this case, the Software warranty shows expired. It reads 90 days even though the firewall was recently purchased and registered.

  • Any PAN-OSĀ 
  • Palo Alto Firewall.

Procedure



For taking care of that manually :
  1. List the currently installed license files by running the command "delete license key ?".The display is shown below.

  1. Then try to remove license for "Software_Warranty"
> delete license key Software_Warranty<expiredate>.key
