Setting the Master-Device in the cloud services plugin fails with Operation Failed: "Could not find schema node for xpath"

Symptom


After attempting to configure a master-device under Panorama > cloud services > configuration > Mobile Users - GlobalProtect > Settings > Master Device (device_name) you see the following error

Environment


  • Panorama version 10.1
  • Panorama Managed Prisma-Access
  • Cloud Services plugin version 2.2.0-h33 and below
  • Master-Device implementation with VM series or Strata Firewall within the cloud services plugin

Cause


The location of the master-device xpath has changed for 10.1 Panorama

Resolution


Upgrade the cloud services plugin to version 2.2.0 h-34 preferred or higher.
