Objective


  • Palo Alto Networks predefined EDLs can be used as a "source" to configure custom EDLs and exclude entries in custom EDL if required.
  • This article provides information on how to configure Custom External Dynamic List(EDL) using PAN-OS predefined EDL on PAN-OS devices.


Environment




Procedure


 
  1. From the Web GUI of the firewall Navigate to Objects > External Dynamic List 
  2. Click on "Add" to configure a new EDL
  3. Select type "source" as “Predefined IP List” or “Predefined URL List” based on requirement.

  1. Configure exclude list (if required) from "List Entries and Exceptions" tab

  1. Click "OK" and Commit the configuration.
