Objective
- Palo Alto Networks predefined EDLs can be used as a "source" to configure custom EDLs and exclude entries in custom EDL if required.
- This article provides information on how to configure Custom External Dynamic List(EDL) using PAN-OS predefined EDL on PAN-OS devices.
Environment
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Supported PAN-OS
- External Dynamic List (EDL)
Procedure
- From the Web GUI of the firewall Navigate to Objects > External Dynamic List
- Click on "Add" to configure a new EDL
- Select type "source" as “Predefined IP List” or “Predefined URL List” based on requirement.
- Configure exclude list (if required) from "List Entries and Exceptions" tab
- Click "OK" and Commit the configuration.
Additional Information
- Palo Alto Networks predefined EDLs/ Built-in EDLs are updated using dynamic content updates.
- There is no public URL to download Palo Alto Networks predefined EDLs.
