Can Telemetry CDL be associated with Panorama devices and firewalls?
Answer
As per product design, Telemetry CDL cannot be associated with Panorama devices and cannot be enabled on firewalls.
If you do not have a purchased CDL license, you can enable device Telemetry.
If you purchase a CDL license, your Telemetry CDL will be upgraded to the purchased CDL as long as you activate the purchased CDL in the same region.
If you had a purchased CDL license and you downgrade it to Telemetry CDL, the system will remove the Panorama device from the CDL.
On the Customer Support Portal, under Cloud Services you can see your Telemetry license with quantity indicated as 0 TB. The auth code begins with an I (because it is internally generated) and the expiry date is far in the future.
