What to do if VM Panorama Tab shows serial unknown or it needs to be changed?

Question


1.  What to do if VM Panorama Tab shows "serial unknown" or if it is different and has to be changed back to original VM Panorama Serial?

Answer


See below steps:

1.  Go to Panorama Tab > Setup > Management > General Settings >Serial number
2.  In there, copy/paste the serial number from original VM Panorama instance, then pull license keys.

Note:  There is no need to activate anything since Panorama VM licenses are already activated and tied to a serial number.


Additional Information


Process is used when a new VM Panorama Instance is spun up and Panorama Tab shows "serial unknown" or if serial number is different and needs to be changed to original VM Panorama instance serial number.
