Does Prisma SD-WAN support Netflow?

Environment


  • Prisma SD-WAN
  • ION devices
  • Netflow and IPFIX

Answer


Netflow v5 is now deprecated. ION devices with 5.4.1 and above supports only IPFIX

Additional Information


The Netflow v5 exporter is limited as it only supports the following:

  1. Exports WAN->LAN or LAN->WAN flows only (No interface flows)
  2. If the flow is dropped, it will not be exported.
  3. Since Netflow v5 does not use interfaces, there is no interface info in the export. At Netflow v5 config time, create a pseudo SNMP Interface for "LAN" and "WAN" and these SNMP IDs will be sent in the record instead of 0.
