Prisma Access App shows the allocated bandwidth that exceeds the configured/licensed value

Symptom


  • HUB > Prisma Access App > Report > Usage Report of Remote Network shows the allocated bandwidth ( e.g. 2385.9 Mbps) that exceeds the configured/licensed value, e.g. 2330 Mbps.

Cause


This is expected behavior.

 

Resolution


  1. As documented in How to Calculate Remote Network Bandwidth Prisma Access lets additional 10% of the allocated bandwidth without dropping the traffic.
  2. In the case here, the remote network site will not experience issue till 2563 Mbps is consumed assuming the resource utilization is normal.
