How to add a second Global Protect portal through MacOS Plist

Objective


 How to add a second portal to Global Protect Agent without end-user input.


Environment


 
  • Any MacOS client
  • GlobalProtect 4.1 and above
     

Procedure


  1. Install Xcode program. 
  2. Open HD/Users/<user-profile>/Library/Preferences/com.paloaltonetworks.GlobalProtect.client.plist
  3. Edit the file with Xcode program.
  4. Add the portal under Root > PanPortalList > add the item.
  5. Restart MacOS.
